forgive yourself

I want you to imagine yourself walking down an empty street with about 4 lanes and a median at around 3am in a place where you don't know the language well and know the area just as well... Okay,
now imagine a bald guy with his shirt collar up so high you only see his nose and eyes standing on that median..
Then imagine him following you after you cross the median down the street for about a block.
--Yeah that happened to me last night as I was walking home from a beer pong tournament. Thank God Shannon and Jennifer were with me! I was sooooooo scared out of my mind. I am okay though. That was the second time that happened to me. The first time was during the day, and so I walked quickly to the biggest street. Some these guys are really creepy..

The guys I met at the beer pong tourney were cute! One of the guys was scruffy.. reminded me of Hugh Jackman:: the color of his eyes and they way his eyes squinted when he smiled. His bone structure and body was not though.. :( His friends were hella funny. We lost to them, but they were good sports and I can not wait to see them next week. The competition was not fierce at all. It was more luck than anything. lol. I really can't believe me and Shannon lost. We were winning the whole time! Then the guys got balls back and made the last cup! Ugh. 100 euros slipped right through my fingers!~

I should speak more Spanish, but I'm so embarrassed to do so. And so I revert back to English, praying that mi senora would know what I am saying, but she doesn't know a lick to English.. Even when my friends and I are out, the store owners speak to us in broken English. I don't want them to do that, but it is so much easier to revert back to English..

Oh and I bought another pair of boots. I really need to do some major shopping to fit in here.. When I'm home I feel like I stick out because I dress up more than the average college student. Here I stick out because I don't dress up as much as the average Spanish/international student. grrr
