countdown with me.: 7 days.

I believe this time next week I will be half-way between Dallas and Madrid.

A week is not enough time to hang out with my friends here in KC. That's for sure...

Some commonly asked questions I have been asked so far::

When are you leaving?
 - January 6th
Where in Spain are you going?
 - Alicante, Spain
Are you staying with a host family?
 - Yes.
Do you know who they are?
 - I won't know until the Sunday after I get there. :/
Why are you going?
 - I will be traveling, studying (Spanish and business classes at the Universidad de Alicante), and eating lots of authentic foods!
When are you coming back?
 - The plan is June 15th
Are you excited?
 - I am overly excited that I have made myself nervous.

.: may edit :. Found the man I have always wanted and needed or the lack of :) and I'm most happiest now this way. It's like a new chapter has ended and a new story is about to begin. The new story started with traveling every where and seeing all the things I have always wanted to see and more.

flight itinerary

Only a month and a half left until I leave the states for 5 months. I have wrapped up all my loose ends and I am ready emotionally to have the time of my life. I am a little puzzled about a few small minor details that all starts with "what if..." but can't do anything about them so I should stop worrying about them.

I will be flying on January 6th from MCI -> Dallas -> Madrid -> Finally landing in Alicante on January 7th.  Joys! I hope that Mizzou goes to the Insight Bowl, so I can have a small vacation before my "semester off". I can't wait to share my experiences with everyone back home. So read this often when I am gone (this is how I will be sending most of my love) && Skype me often because I will be missing your face!

2 months..

There are just 2 more months left 'til I board a plane to Alicante, Spain. I am super excited, but I am so worried. I already know I will be homesick, but I will get over it eventually like my first months at Mizzou. Those first months were the worst/best times of my life. 5th floor C.Ave!! :)

Anyway. This isn't about my freshman year. This is about my adventure to the other side of the world. I haven't even left yet and I already miss everyone and everything. I pray for the strength to be able to embrace the culture and the new experiences with an open-heart/-mind and that when I step back in the States everything will have changed.

I already told my cousin this, but I hope in the semester I am gone that all my friends' dreams and wishes become real like mine have.
